Privacy Policy — Wird

Wird is an app for Quran memorization, daily wird tracking, adhkar and prayer times, available on Android (Google Play) and the web. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can delete it. The app developer and data controller is the developer of Wird, reachable at lovefreedme88@gmail.com.

Data we collect

• Account: email and password, handled by Firebase Authentication. We never see your password.
• Name and gender (male/female): entered in the app, used to address you by name and with the right grammatical form in messages and notifications.
• In-app data: your progress, memorization, quiz data and points, stored in Firebase Firestore so it syncs across your devices.
• Connection status and last seen: last sign-in, last activity and whether you are online. Stored in Firestore with your account and visible to the app developer.
• Device information: a generic device/browser label (e.g. "Android · Chrome"), whether the app is installed, and yes/no flags for notifications and a saved prayer location on that device.
• Notifications (optional): if you allow them, our notification server receives your device's push token (generated by Firebase Cloud Messaging), your account ID, name and gender, time zone, reminder settings, today's calculated prayer times (times only, no coordinates), which prayers you marked as done, and when you last opened the app.

Location

Location is optional. If you tap "locate me", the app reads your approximate location once to calculate prayer times. The (rounded) coordinates stay on your device and are never sent to any server.

Data we do not access

We do not access contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone. The app does not use fingerprint or biometric features.

How we use data

• To sign you in and manage your account.
• To save your progress and sync it across your devices.
• To address you by name and send adhkar, wird and prayer reminders on time when notifications are enabled.
• To calculate prayer times when you use the location feature.
• To run and improve the app and prevent fake accounts.

Third-party service providers

Your data reaches only the following service providers, who process it on our behalf to run the app:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, Firestore database and Cloud Messaging.
• Cloudflare: hosting, the notification server and its database.
• Browser push services (Google, Apple or Mozilla): deliver the notification to your device in the web version.
• alquran.cloud: loads the Quran text. No personal data is sent to it.
• Google Fonts: loads fonts in the web version only; the Android app bundles its fonts.

Advertising and tracking

We do not sell your data and do not share it for marketing or advertising. The app contains no ads, analytics or tracking tools.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to stored user data is limited to the developer's account.

Data retention

• Account data is kept until you delete your account.
• On the notification server, reminders stop for anyone who has not opened the app for 14 days, and the subscription is permanently deleted after 60 days of inactivity or immediately when you delete your account. If you turn notifications off on your device, that device's subscription is removed automatically at the next delivery attempt.

Deleting your account and data

You can permanently delete your account and all data at any time:

• In the app: "Delete account".
• On the web, without the app: the account deletion page.
• Or by emailing lovefreedme88@gmail.com from the address registered on the account.

Deletion covers your sign-in account, name, gender, progress and scores, connection status and last seen, device names and notification subscriptions. You can also turn off notifications and location from your device settings at any time.

Children

The app is intended for users aged 13 and over and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date at the top will change.
